Now Hiring: Sheet Metal Superintendent

Location: Madison, WI

Position Type: Full-Time | Local Travel Required | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Superintendent to lead field operations and ensure the successful execution of our construction projects. This role is pivotal in managing day-to-day job site activities, maintaining quality control, and coordinating subcontractors to meet project goals efficiently and safely.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Construction Manager, your role will include:

• Oversee daily job site operations and short-term scheduling

• Coordinate staffing needs and participate in hiring decisions

• Attend preconstruction meetings and site orientations

• Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and inspection procedures

• Manage field office setup, temporary services, and equipment logistics

• Collaborate with Project Manager on scheduling and procurement

• Monitor labor reports and field staff performance

• Enforce safety policies and conduct weekly safety meetings

• Maintain quality control and resolve on-site conflicts

• Submit required documentation and timecards promptly

• Participate in project closeout and walk-throughs

Qualifications

What You Bring

Required:

• Minimum 5 years of construction supervision experience

• Completion of a State Union Apprenticeship program

• Valid Driver's License

• Strong understanding of safety procedures and construction law

• High School diploma or GED

Preferred:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects

• High level of confidentiality and professionalism

Work Environment

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation needed

• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor in adverse conditions

• Comfortable working on uneven terrain, ladders, and in all weather

• Exposure to loud noise, dust, and mechanical equipment

• 75% field work, 25% office-based task
