Grace Under Pressure, an independent, exclusive importer of 9 Special Club Champagnes seeks an Independent Salesperson to represent their book in the San Diego, California market. This role is one of an independent contractor that is truly independent and who is free to represent other books as well.

The territory is a start up and is looking someone with ready-made business and dozens of prestigious, active on premise accounts with other non-competing books. The goal is to increase placements by account and to grow the account universe. This is a 100% commission job. The role requires the complete management of a territory calling on restaurants, wine bars and independent wine shops, and developing relationships with new accounts.

Responsibilities
ALL Schedule tasting appointments and meetings with current account buyers

Maintain current wine placements in active accounts

Develop relationships with new and prospective accounts and buyers

Make weekly sales calls in person, over the phone and email

Conduct tasting appointments with buyers and share wine knowledge

Maintain accounts receivable

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Schedule market work with winery partners

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Wine sales (or restaurant wine sales) experience preferred

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and can respond quickly to demanding situations

Extremely well-organized, personable, and knowledgeable about wine.

Work effectively with minimal supervision

Motivated, enthusiastic team player

Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.

Have reliable transportation

Live in or near the desired territory (preferred)
