Test Engineer

Position Summary

Responsible for the verification and validation of product and system level requirements as well as overall product expectations. Testing will include a variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with a focus on electrical and software activities as they relate to vehicle performance, charging and autonomous functions. Successful candidates will possess a passion for hands-on product development, testing and problem solving.

Position Responsibilities

• Work with cross functional teams to develop and document test procedures
• Meet with development teams to review specifications and requirements
• Create test approaches and manual test cases for lab and vehicle testing
• Perform a variety of test activities including test fixture design and fabrication
• Generate test data and results as well as deliver results to cross functional teams
• Maintain test equipment and ensure lab areas are kept clean and organized

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university or other technical degree with relevant industry experience
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well independently and with a team

Ideal Candidates Will Also Have

• Previous experience with National Instruments equipment
• Working knowledge of automotive standards and best practices
