Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Endoscopy for a travel nursing job in Abilene, Texas.

Job Description & Requirements

• Duration: 13 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8 hours, days
• Employment Type: Travel

• Review patient history, informed consent, and physician orders for scheduled GI and pulmonary procedures.
• Prepare procedure room with appropriate equipment, instruments, and supplies (Olympus systems, Axios devices).
• Verify patient identity, allergies, and NPO status following facility protocols.
• Establish and maintain IV access; prepare medications for moderate sedation and pain management.
• Circulate or assist physicians during advanced GI procedures (ERCP, EUS, PEG, Spyglass, capsule endoscopy, FNA/FNB) and pulmonary procedures (bronchoscopy, EBUS).
• Monitor patient status, vital signs, and sedation level throughout the procedure.
• Operate and troubleshoot endoscopic and related equipment.
• Adhere to sterile technique, infection control policies, and safety protocols.
• Assist in patient recovery, monitoring for sedation-related or procedural complications.
• Provide post-procedure education to patients and caregivers regarding recovery, medications, and follow-up.

• Document all aspects of care in the facility’s charting system (Altera preferred)

   

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in advanced GI/pulmonary procedures\nCertifications: BLS, ACLS
