(But should have experience in large/ high volume similar setting). \nLocals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes \n*Skills: Circulate, Sterile vaginal exam and competent in immediate newborn care \nCerts: BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate and NRP \n \nJOB DETAILS: \nRATIOS: 2:1, average 20 births in 24hrs and 30-40 admits, 40 Visits/Day, 20 Rooms \nSHIFT: *48 hours can be offered. If Accepting 48 Hours, NO OT until after 48 Hours is billed \nUnit Will Accept 13 - 26 Week Contracts! \n12 HR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15 \n**May be required to precept/orient new staff members to the unit as needed \nFloat Requirement: *FLOAT REQUIRED AS NEEDED. Special Maternity Care high risk OB unit. \nWeekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. \n \nPATIENT DIAGNOSES: Obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater for all intrapartum and for high-risk antepartum and postpartum care. We care for under 16 weeks high risk patients too on our high risk maternity unit. The Birthing Care Unit has an obstetrical triage unit to allow for screening of patients prior to admission and to perform routine outpatient procedures such as antenatal fetal surveillance, intravenous hydration, and medication administration. Scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean Births and rescue cervical cerclage are performed. \n \nSPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: **Unit VERY FAST PACED, busier and higher acuity than might be normally expected. May not be realistic for nurses to take 48hr contracts on this unit due to how busy it is. Strongly prefer RN with circulate to OR experience. \n \nUNIT SYSTEMS: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR. \n \nUNIT ORIENTATION: 24.0 Hours \n \nSCRUBS: Scrubs provided (blue). Techlink Systems Inc.
