Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with TX or compact license and strong multi-specialty OR skills for a weekend day shift assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position based in the Main Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Handles a range of cases including robotic XI, orthopedics, spine/neuro, general/gyn, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular, and trauma cases at a Level 2 trauma center
• Day shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• No on-call responsibilities
• 3-4 days of orientation provided
• Cerner charting experience is preferred
• Responsibilities include circulating and assisting with a diverse range of surgical procedures
• Assignment at a Level 2 trauma center with multi-service OR cases
• Weekend coverage required for all scheduled shifts
• 2 supervisor references from the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
• Candidates must attach all required certifications for consideration
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active TX or compact state RN license required
• Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, and BLS required
• Minimum 1 year of OR RN experience required, with 2-3 years strongly preferred
• Experience with specialty equipment and procedures including robotic XI, orthopedic, spine/neuro, and trauma cases
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
