Job Title: Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Wheeling, Illinois
Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available
Schedule: All Shifts Available (Days/Afternoons/Overnights)
Salary: $19.50 An Hour
Description: We are looking for a vigilant and dependable individual to join our team as an Unarmed Security Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our client’s property, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observation skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to manage stressful situations with professionalism and calmness.
Responsibilities:
Regularly patrol assigned areas to deter and detect unauthorized activities.
Monitor surveillance systems and alarms to identify and address any suspicious behavior or security breaches.
Conduct thorough inspections of the premises, ensuring that all doors, windows, and access points are securely locked.
Respond promptly to assistance requests or emergencies, including medical incidents, disturbances, and accidents.
Maintain detailed logs and reports of security incidents, disturbances, and other noteworthy events during shifts.
Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and clients with inquiries, directions, and other needs.
Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations to maintain security standards and compliance.
Engage in ongoing training to improve knowledge of security protocols, emergency response, and relevant laws.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience as a security officer or guard.
Completion of a 20-hour state certification and possession of a PERC card.
Strong understanding of legal regulations related to area security and public safety.
Proficient in report writing.
Exceptional surveillance and observation abilities.
Valid driver’s license.
Reliable Transportation
High school diploma required; additional education in security administration or a related field is preferred.
