Cold-Link Logistics is a rapidly growing, full service Third-Party Logistics Company built on family values. We are dedicated to serving our customers’ needs through designing specific solutions to meet the ever-increasing demand on Cold Chain innovation and efficiencies. 

Cold-Link’s warehousing network is a new 200,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility in Ellisville, Mississippi. We are recruiting an experienced Cold Storage Warehouse Operations Manager for our temperature-controlled food grade distribution center .

Reporting to the General Manager, the Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, they will initiate, direct, coordinate and monitor supervisors and warehouse members’ team activities. Providing leadership to promote the highest levels of Customer Service and Continuous Improvement in our Key Performance Areas - Safety, Quality, On-Time Performance, Productivity, Profitability, and Team Development.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Being a TEAM Player, leading cooperatively with others to meet daily service demands
• Provide primary leadership oversight, support, and accountability for team members
• Oversee daily and extended planning and execution of operations, including space management, receiving, inventory control, shipping, and other value-added services
• Ensure health, safety and industry policies and standards are kept at the highest levels
• Oversee financial management activities, including coordinating new business opportunities, labor and resource planning and allocation, budgeting, controlling expenses, and maximizing profitability
• Build and promote strong partnerships with all internal/external stakeholders
• Lead and support a positive, team-oriented work environment and culture
• Initiate, coordinate and monitor continuous improvement initiatives, leading team members to attain the highest levels of customer satisfaction
• Work closely with Customer Service to build relationships to continue to support the handling of their product.
• Creating assignment plans for employees prior to the beginning of each shift.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• Continued learning and education on inventory management software programs for progressing loads to the yard, assigning trailers to trips, recording trailers both in the trips section and in the yard check (decipher whether they are holding, loaded, or still in pieces).

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree, and/or successful equivalent of professional development in warehousing, distribution, logistics operations
• 3-5 years leadership experience in warehousing and distribution
• Previous experience in cold storage warehousing required
• Food grade operations knowledge preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Effective team leadership style, including problem solving, planning and decision making

Physical Requirements & Schedule:

• Core working hours are Mon-Fri and Sun-Thurs but in rare emergency situations must be available for team support as needed.
• Minimal travel required. Must have an acceptable driving record according to Company guidelines.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must have an acceptable driving record according to Company guidelines.
• Ability to be in a multi-temperature warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from outside ambient to -10 degrees F. Cold-Link provides cold weather gear for staff members.
