Water / Wastewater Project Manager

Are you a seasoned Water/Wastewater Project Manager ready to do more than just deliver projects? This is an opportunity to lead, grow, and shape a regional water and wastewater practice while delivering meaningful infrastructure that strengthens communities and protects the environment.

Our client is looking for an experienced, motivated leader to take ownership of water and wastewater projects in Northern Colorado - and play a key role in expanding a growing, employee-owned engineering consulting firm.

What You’ll Do

• Lead water and wastewater projects from planning through construction
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, stakeholders, and project teams
• Oversee engineering analysis, feasibility studies, and detailed design
• Prepare and review reports, plans, and specifications to ensure technical excellence
• Navigate permitting and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Support construction through site visits, technical guidance, and issue resolution
• Mentor team members and manage multiple projects simultaneously

What Our Client is Looking For

Required

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months
• 8+ years of experience managing water and wastewater engineering projects
• Proficiency with hydraulic modeling, CAD, and project management tools

Preferred

• Strong understanding of water treatment, distribution, and wastewater systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex, concurrent projects

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: North of $135,000 (DOE)
