P/T position with tips

We re looking for a new addition to our team.

The Wine Assistant Manager is hard-working, detail oriented good-humored person.

The following are essential tasks of this position:

• You are eager to learn, take direction well, work quickly and thoroughly, and are able to work as part of a team.
  
• Your work environment is always kept clean and organized.
  
• You must be able to stand, lift, bend, and carry heavy items for long shifts.
  

THIS HELPS:

• You have availability for PART-TIME employment (21-32 hours/week) and can work weekends (one weekend day) regularly.
  
• You should have open availability during the holidays (November 15-January 1).
  
• You should be in good physical health and able to perform the physical demands of the job (including standing on your feet all day, safely lifting loads of up to 30 pounds).
  
• An OLCC Server's Permit and experience/interest in wine + beer service are a plus.
  
• Food Handler s Card is required.

PAY:

$17.00 Compensation is based on experience. The position qualifies for pooled tips that increase pay a from $6 to $12 an hour.

BLACKBIRD WINE - ATOMIC CHEESE:

Located in Northeast Portland, Blackbird Wine Atomic Cheese is a neighborhood fixture for daily customers and a snacking and shopping destination for locals and visitors alike. Visitors enjoy wine by the glass, by the bottle, cheese by the pound, or on a platter. Catering, on-line ordering, and delivery are new additions to services provided.

Salary: $17/hr + tips with raises based on performance After 90 Day Probationary Period. Expected Work Week: Minimum 21-32 hours/wk including Fridays, Saturdays, some holidays, special events, evenings and closing shifts. Candidates must also be able and willing to taste our cheese platters and wines and describe them to customers. Please submit resume IN PERSON. Once you see Blackbird, you'll know.
