The Position : Our Client is looking for a Wound Care Physician.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO Required
  • Board Certified Or Board Eligible as Certified Wound Care Associate(CWCA), Certified Wound Specialist(CWS) or Certified Wound Specialist Physician(CWSP) Preferred
  • Current Florida Medical License Required
  • Current DEA License
  • Must Be Able To Obtain Hospital Privileges

Responsibilities:

  • Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm
  • 20-26 Patients per Day
  • Evaluate, assess, prescribe, and treat patients within the defined scope of practice.
  • Perform wound debridement using sharp, enzymatic, and autolytic methods.
  • Apply and manage topical wound care and related wound management products.
  • Conduct risk assessments for diabetic foot ulcers in patients with diabetes, following ADA guidelines.
  • Recommend and coordinate additional services to enhance wound healing outcomes, including laboratory tests, radiologic examinations, vascular assessments, referrals, home health care, VAC devices, and/or orthotics.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and suggest appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Prescribe necessary medications and/or durable medical equipment (DME) to support wound healing and prevention.
  • Educate patients on preventive care, wound management strategies, and the use of prescribed treatments.
  • No Nights
  • No Weekends
