What you will do

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia providers in delivering safe and efficient care during surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and troubleshooting anesthesia equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures, while ensuring adherence to infection control and safety protocols. The Anesthesia Technician will also be expected to follow all infection control and safety guidelines, maintain accurate records, and comply with California Department of Public Health (CA DPH) regulations. Strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to quality care, and maintaining current certification and training are essential.

Anesthesia Technician Summary of Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Assist anesthesia providers with patient positioning, monitoring setup, and airway management as directed.
• Clean, disinfect, and restock anesthesia machines and carts after use.
• Monitor inventory and ensure availability of necessary drugs, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform routine equipment checks and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
• Assist in emergency resuscitation procedures as requested.
• Follow all hospital and regulatory safety guidelines, including infection control.
• Maintain accurate records of anesthesia equipment maintenance and usage logs.
• Ensure compliance with CA DPH regulations and maintain required licensures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an Anesthesia Technician training program preferred.
• Certification as a Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) or Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.) by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists & Technicians (ASATT) required.
• Must have a Basic EKG Certificate.
• Must have IV Certification or graduate from an ASATT approved program with IV training.
• Must be able to lift 45lbs
• 1+ year of experience preferred
• Proof of Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) if applicable
• Current CPR Card issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Must have proof of MMR, Varicella vaccinations or titers.
• Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 Months
• Current Annual Health Clearance
• Reliable source of transportation
