IVIRMA North America is currently seeking an Associate Genetic Counselor . This is a full-time remote position Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, however must be located close to one of locations to go into the office when needed.

Job Purpose:

The Associate Genetic Counselor is a ABGC board-certified or board-eligible genetic counselor. This position will work with both patients and staff across our U.S. sites. This is a responsible position that must work with minimal instruction or direction and demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

• Provides genetic risk assessment and counseling to patients or couples who are being seen for a variety of reproductive indications.
• Completes appropriate clinical documentation in a timely fashion.
• Supports clinical staff in assessing appropriateness of genetic testing, evaluating and interpreting results and facilitating additional testing or evaluation as required.
• Maintains CEU requirements.
• Remains abreast of new and emerging technologies in reproductive genetics.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations core values and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Academic Training:

• Master’s degree from an accredited genetic counseling program
  1. Studies level: Master's Degree
  2. Studies area: Accredited Genetic Counseling Program
• ABGC Certification or a “Board Eligible” status.
  1. Please note: The successful candidate must become certified within five years of date of graduation from Master’s program. Must maintain certification during tenure. Incumbent must also re-certify every five years per ABGC policies and procedures.
     • Studies level: Certification
     • Studies area: ABGC
• Current licensure or eligibility for Full or Temporary/Provisional Licensure in the candidate’s state of residence (if applicable) and states in which IVI RMA practices.

Position Requirements/Experiences:

• Previous experience within ART/IVF genetic counseling - preferred

Technical Skills:

• Computer proficiency - required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
