Overview C-130 Flight Engineer role at Amentum . Based remotely throughout California. Responsibilities include participating in aerial firefighting missions, Functional Check Flights (FCF), Maintenance Check Flights (MCF), and Acceptance Check Flights (ACF). Other duties include attending the annual C-130 Air Tanker Flight Engineer training program and participating in aircraft ferry missions (intrastate and interstate) as directed. Experience and Qualifications C-130 Flight Engineer – 2000 hours C-130 Flight Engineer Experience – 2 years Possess FAA Flight Engineer Certification or military equivalent. Previous aerial firefighting experience preferred. Must have a valid/current FAA 2nd Class Medical Certificate with ECG endorsement (if over 40 years of age). Salary and Other Compensation The hourly rate for this position is between $151.89 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
