Duties and Responsibilities: - Provides strategic medical leadership to drive clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and innovative healthcare solutions.
- Develops and executes the organization's medical vision, strategies, and objectives.
- Collaborates with the executive team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that promote quality improvement and operational efficiency.
- Represents the organization in industry forums, conferences, and collaborations, contributing to thought leadership and shaping the future of healthcare in Los Angeles
- Provides medical expertise and leadership to guide clinical practices and standards. Lead the development and implementation of clinical guidelines, policies, protocols, and best practices.
- Promotes evidence-based medicine and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensures compliance with Federal requirements, standards of care as directed by licensing, funding and/or other pertinent agencies (HRSA, FTCA, health plans, PCMH, CPSP, CHDP, Family PACT, etc.). Ensures that all standard medical P&P's, protocols, and guidelines are followed as required.
- Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement, monitor key performance indicators, and implement initiatives to optimize healthcare delivery.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams, encouraging collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing among medical professionals and staff.
- Directly supervises direct reports, including the Associate Medical Directors, the Director of Pharmacy Services, the Director of Behavioral Health, etc.
- Recruits, train, and mentor medical staff, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- Manages the medical department's budget, including staffing, equipment, and supplies.
- Identifies and mitigates potential legal and ethical risks.
Position Requirements: - Currently licensed as a physician in the state of California, Board certification in a primary care specialty (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or OB/GYN) preferred
- Current DEA license and BCLS certificate required.
- Minimum 7-10 years clinical experience in a community-based medical setting, with 4+ years of administrative and supervisory responsibilities.
- Extensive clinical experience, with a track record of successfully implementing strategic initiatives, driving organizational growth, and improving patient outcomes.
- Leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a senior medical leadership role.
- Excellent knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality improvement methodologies, and clinical informatics.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic planning skills.
