Director, Payroll & Benefits (Fiscal Services/PC#240384)

Position Summary:
Under direction, plan, organize control and direct the payroll and benefits functions of the District; assure compliance with laws, codes, regulations and standards related to payroll and benefit processing; train and supervise the performance of assigned personnel.

Salary: $134,729-$167,173 in 7 annual steps. Based on experience.
Location: Fiscal Services
Hours: 8 hours/day 5 days/week
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day

Experience and Education

Combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, accounting, finance or related field and five years’ increasingly responsible experience in the payroll and benefits, budget and/or accounting is required. Experience in a related field above the five-year requirement may be substituted for years of educational experience on a two-year experience equals one-year of education basis.

Licenses and Certifications

A current California Driver’s License and proof of insurance are required.
