We are looking for an individual that wants to own and have complete accountability for an entire fleet of drivers for our dedicated customer, Grean Northern Corporation (GNC). This role will be solely responsible for both the planning and driver manager accountabilities for an onsite dedicated fleet. You must be a motivated self-starter and willing to take on a challenge. You will be expected to plan drivers and freight while meeting customer expectations as well as manage driver engagement, retention, and overall scorecard performance. Essential Functions/Specific Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for direct supervision of upward to 20-25 drivers, routes, and service to ensure the highest quality of customer service and safety.
  • Build strong relationships with your driver team through integrity and accountability.
  • Maintain high asset utilization to ensure profitability.
  • Manage freight within the required HOS regulations and DOT regulations.
  • Approve driver pay and driver bill of lading (BOL) submission.
  • Be decisive, forward thinking, and provide solutions to driver needs and issues.
  • Coach your driver team to success and safety compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain driver schedule ensuring the correct number of drivers are on hand while monitoring hours worked.
  • Build and maintain strong onsite connection with customer.
  • Supply customers with any needed reports and their miscellaneous requests.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • Two or more years of transportation experience preferred
  • Leadership experience is preferred
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a fast- paced team atmosphere
  • Proficient in Microsoft products – Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Ability to navigate through multiple computer systems
