Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Personnel Security Specialist to work in our Badging and Clearances department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Central Facilities with every Friday off. You will process necessary documents to obtain passes, badges, and security clearances for employees and interview individuals to clarify information submitted for review. You will report directly to the manager of the Badging and Clearances department. Responsibilities Include:
- Initiate pre-employment background screening. May perform initial and annual certification Human Reliability Program (HRP) processes.
- Issue security badges, permits, and database input for the INL access control systems.
- Responsible for badge issuance documentation for INL employees and subcontractors. Ensure that all inactive and lost badges are removed from the system.
- Responsible for U.S. visitor management and access.
- Facilitate the international colleague review and access process.
- Responsible for HSPD-12 enrollment and activation functions. Conduct reviews of governmental forms clearance and HSPD-12 forms for completeness and accuracy before submission to DOE .
- Distribute program information to customers and collaborators.
- Maintain documentation of administrator processes and help with program reports. Provide reports to Counterintelligence and maintain individual HRP files.
- Facilitate drug/alcohol test and documentation process.
- As assigned, perform initial and annual certification processes. Perform clearance process for Human Reliability Program (HRP) personnel.
- Assist system administrator for Personnel Security programs and systems.
- Respond to incoming Personnel Security or HRP ServiceID emails.
- Provide OJT for other program personnel.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements: - Level 3: High school diploma, or equivalent, and 4 years of related experience.
- Level 4: High school diploma, or equivalent, and 6 years of related experience.
- Experience issuing badges or credentials.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
Job Information: - The pay range for this position is: Level 3 ($21.90/hr - $36.13/hr) / Level 4 ($25.18/hr - $41.54/hr). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
