We are looking for a Remote Proofreader who is attentive, organized, and experienced in reviewing professional documentation. This role is key to maintaining the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of reports and communication materials prepared for clients in the healthcare and legal sectors.
The selected candidate will complete a 30-day remote training program to become fully familiar with our internal tools, workflows, and style standards. A 90-day probationary period follows to ensure ongoing development and alignment with quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
-Review and edit client deliverables for grammar, punctuation, spelling, formatting, and consistency.
-Proofread various document types including reports, emails, legal/medical summaries, and training materials.
-Ensure adherence to brand voice, client-specific guidelines, and industry standards (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.).
-Collaborate remotely with researchers, coders, and quality analysts to ensure content quality.
-Maintain organized documentation and version control across editing tasks.
-Communicate clearly in written updates and feedback, especially in collaborative review sessions.
Qualifications
Required:
-Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Healthcare Admin, or related field.
-Experience proofreading in a professional setting (remote experience a plus).
-Strong command of English grammar and editorial accuracy.
-Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and proofreading tools.
-Quiet, dedicated workspace and stable internet connection for remote work.
Preferred:
-Experience in healthcare or legal editing.
-Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant documentation and/or EHR systems.
-Knowledge of tools like Grammarly, PerfectIt, or similar.
