Job Type: Full-time, Summer position

About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Delaware.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate students needs, strengths, and challenges.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Provide direct therapy services to students to enhance motor, sensory, and cognitive skills.
• Collaborate with school staff to support students in the classroom, providing strategies and adaptations for learning.
• Assist in the development of behavioral and classroom strategies to support students overall development.
• Monitor and track progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
• Provide training and support to teachers and staff regarding occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
• Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on students' progress and strategies to support them at home.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Delaware licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working in a school setting preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of sensory processing, motor development, and other relevant therapy techniques for children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
