The Senior Property Accountant will report directly to the VP and will have significant interaction with various departments within the company. This role is perfect for a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to take their career to the next level.

Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
Facilitate budgeting and forecasting processes for the portfolio, including variance analysis and commentary.
Reconcile bank accounts, post journal entries, and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; CAM reconciliations.
Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requests, and aid in the research and analysis of audit issues raised.
Job Details
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in property accounting.
Proficiency in Yardi or a similar property management/accounting software is highly preferred.
Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
Solid understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial personnel.
Self-motivated, with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
