Do you want to work hard, have fun, and make history? Do you think fast, dive deep, and get things done? We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to join Alexa Devices team and be part of building Alexa+.

In this role, you will lead the concept, development and launch of Alexa devices. You will work closely with a high-energy team consisting of HW, OS, and software engineering, user experience, finance, marketing, customer service, and Amazon leadership, and ship devices to customers globally. You will lead teams through high complexity and ambiguity product development cycles, while building excellent intuition for one-way door decisions. In this role, you will also work on hardware systems and platform Software/OS bringing in your unique perspective into the complex systems that make great products.

You will work with a broad array of technical and non-tech stakeholders from design to architecture and core technologies all the way through product development and commercialization. You will have visibility at the highest levels of Amazon Devices\' leadership team. You will innovate on new devices, features and experiences, even as you manage the operational rigor of rolling out high quality devices on time and within budget. Finally you will ship Alexa Devices to millions of customers.

This role is a good fit for someone who has strong customer focus and product sense, combined with an established track record in consumer technology products, and connected devices.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Manage Operational relationships with support teams and internal operations business partners to drive increased performance
  2. Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
  3. Effectively interact and collaborate with Customers, Project Sponsors, Technical Product Managers and multiple internal teams to define and deliver complex solutions
  4. Proactively recognize and drive opportunities to simplify processes
  5. Contribute to and influence technical designs
  6. Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
  7. Lead the effective and efficient delivery of large, complex technical projects and programs
  8. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs with technical constraints
  9. Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels
  10. Create, maintain and disseminate program information to stakeholders
  11. Travel up to 25%

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
