\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM
\n• Every other weekend requirement: Friday and Saturday for nights, Saturday and Sunday for day shift
\n• Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly
\n• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 in 30-bed unit (three 10-bed units)
\n• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score prior to signing contract
\n• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
\n• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
\n• Care for medical-surgical telemetry and progressive care unit patients
\n• Common patient types include surgical patients (hip/knee replacements, bowel resections, hysterectomies), medical patients (MRSA, C-diff infections, COPD, pneumonia), and telemetry patients with chest pain
\n• Float to Multi Care Unit, Pediatric unit for adult MST patients, and West Campus MedSurg Tele
\n• May be required to precept nursing students
\n• Care for stable C-PAP or Bi-PAP patients
\n• Charting system: Cerner
\n• Scrub color: any color except camouflage
\n• Standby rotation for low census situations
\n• Minimum 1 year medical-surgical experience required, telemetry experience preferred
\n• 4 shifts cancellation policy per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)
