Express Healthcare Staffing of Hawaii is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Emergency Room (ER) professionals, especially nurses, work in high-pressure environments where they provide immediate and critical care to patients experiencing acute medical conditions, trauma, or life-threatening emergencies. Their role is essential in stabilizing patients, initiating treatment, and coordinating with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal outcomes.

13 week contract

32 hours per week

Overall hourly rate: $71.000

Per diem eligibility: $1600.00

Weekly Gross: $2272.00

ER nurses duties and responsibilities:

• Triage and Assessment
  • Evaluate incoming patients to determine the severity of their condition.
  • Prioritize care based on urgency.
• Emergency Treatment
  • Administer medications, IVs, and blood transfusions.
  • Perform wound care, bone setting, suturing, and other urgent interventions.
  • Assist with or perform life-saving procedures like intubation or CPR.
• Monitoring and Documentation
  • Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families, offering emotional support and education.
• Diagnostic Support
  • Conduct or assist with diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, blood work).
  • Interpret results and report findings to the medical team.
• Patient Transfer and Follow-Up
  • Prepare patients for transfer to other departments or facilities.

  • Ensure continuity of care through proper handoffs and documentation.

Nurse Qualifications:

• Current State of Hawaii RN License
• Minimum 5 years of recent RN ED experience (within the past 24 months/2 years)
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Current TB/2-Step TB/Chest X-Ray/QUANTIFERON
• Federal FingerPrint
• N95 Fit Test

• Proof of vaccinations: MMR, TDAP, Varicella, COVID and FLU
