Excel Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights | 3x12 (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Patient Ratios: 1:6–7
• Schedule: Self-scheduled per unit needs, includes every other weekend (5–6 weekends per 6-week period)
• Float: Required – may float to similar units and alternate care locations
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Scrubs: Navy

Required Experience & Skills:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years (first-time travelers accepted)
• Specialty: Telemetry / PCU / IMC / Stepdown
• Charting: EPIC required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Skills:
  • Telemetry monitoring and remote dysrhythmia interpretation
  • Pre/Post Cardiac Cath and Surgery care, Sheath removal, TR Bands, Femstop
  • Cardiac drips: titration of Diltiazem and Amiodarone
  • Blood product administration, central line and PICC management
  • Rapid Response Team activation
  • Non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care
  • Charge experience (preferred)

Patient Population:

• Diagnoses: Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, Post Cardiac Cath patients
• Unit Focus: Monitors cardiac patients with cardiac drips, TR Bands, Sheath pulls

Compliance & Requirements:

• Mandatory: Pass EKG testing prior to start
• RTO: Max 7 days auto-approved; no RTO during first week due to orientation
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• License: NC or Compact license required; pending OK for submission
• Travel Pairs: Allowed but must be submitted and work on different units
• Modules: Non-billable, 8–10 hours for acute care roles, completed pre-start and annually
• Fatigue Policy: No more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week

Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary
