Our client is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to efficiently handle materials, products, and equipment within a warehouse or distribution center. The Warehouse Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating a sit-down forklift to load, unload, transport, and organize inventory while maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.


Key Responsibilities

• Operate Forklift: Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move, stack, and transport materials within the warehouse.
• Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload trucks and shipping containers.
• Inventory Management: Assist in organizing, stacking, and storing products in designated areas.
• Order Picking: Retrieve and prepare items for shipment with accuracy and care.
• Storage & Shelving: Properly place products in warehouse shelving, racks, and bins.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety regulations, including PPE requirements and forklift operation protocols.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct pre-shift inspections and report any maintenance needs.
• Warehouse Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring aisles and loading docks are clear.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations and timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating a sit-down forklift or similar equipment preferred.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification as required by employer).
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and remain on feet or seated for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate inventory control and order fulfillment.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and best practices.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
