Homans Associates (HA) is a subsidiary of the largest independent HVAC/R distribution company in the world, Watsco, Inc. We proudly distribute the Mitsubishi and Bryant brands of HVAC equipment, as well as a full line of HVAC residential and commercial parts, supplies, and accessories. We have locations throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey. We currently have an opening for a Warehouse Manager working out of our Hawthorne, NY location. There is no relocation assistance offered for this position.

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Manager to join our dynamic and growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including the supervision of staff, management of inventory, and ensuring efficient and safe workflows. Your primary objective will be to maintain a well-organized warehouse that meets the demands of our customers, thereby increasing operational efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager:

• Directly supervises and assigns tasks to Warehouse Associates based on business need and customer priority.
• Supervises the performance of all tasks involved in the shipment, requisition and storage of materials, supplies, and equipment into and from warehouse.
• Significant involvement in scheduling and routing of equipment/supplies delivery.
• Communicates directly with customers and coordinates efforts with the sales team.
• Coordinates material flow within organization.
• Improves workflow processes to increase productivity, ensures work force safety and manages warehouse inventory.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications of the Warehouse Manager:

• Experienced forklift operator/warehouse shipping and professional, with at least 3-5 years supervisory experience.
• Must have strong distribution/shipping/receiving experience.
• Successful candidate will be proficient in basic PC skills as well as Microsoft Office.
• HVAC experience is required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal (Teambuilding) skills
• Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be team oriented.
• High School diploma required. College degree preferred.
