Omni Wound Physicians (OWP) is on a growth trajectory, seeking passionate and skilled Wound Care Medical Doctors (MDs) to lead mobile wound care initiatives across various regions. Our mobile wound care team is dedicated to delivering top-notch, specialized care directly to skilled nursing facilities, long-term care centers, and private residences. We aim to enhance patient outcomes, reduce hospital readmissions, and improve access to wound care in both urban and rural communities.

Our team provides critical care across varied environments, ensuring high-quality services are accessible where they are needed most.
Schedule & Shift Options:
Minimum Scheduling Requirement: At least two shifts per week.
Shifts: Typically scheduled between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM local time (subject to change based on business needs).
Full-Time: 30+ hours per week, including a full benefits package.
Part-Time: Minimum of 2 shifts per week with paid sick time accrual available.
On-Call & Weekend Coverage: Some may be required, but notice will usually be given in advance for personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage various types of wounds, including venous, arterial, diabetic, pressure, and post-surgical wounds.
Perform sharp and excisional debridement, NPWT management, tissue biopsies, and gastrostomy tube care.
Monitor healing progression, adjust therapies based on clinical outcomes, and follow advanced wound healing protocols.
Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on wound care and preventive measures.
Maintain precise, timely, and HIPAA-compliant records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Travel daily to various care sites to ensure seamless patient care across diverse regions of Massachusetts.
Assist in workflow optimization, team training, and additional assigned duties to support expansion efforts.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
MD or DO degree
Active, unrestricted medical license in Massachusetts
Board certification in a relevant specialty (Surgery preferred, but OB/GYN, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine accepted)
3-6 years of clinical practice experience in wound care, geriatrics, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or related fields
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Reliable transportation and valid unrestricted Massachusetts driver's license
Preferred:
Wound Care Certification (CWSP, CWS) or ability to obtain within six months
DEA registration for prescriptive authority (preferred but not required)
Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or home health environments
Familiarity with EHR systems and efficiency-enhancing tools
Regulatory & Compliance Requirements:
Massachusetts affords full-practice authority to physicians, enabling MDs and DOs to independently manage patient care. Key regulatory considerations include:
Prescriptive Authority: Physicians may prescribe medications including controlled substances with appropriate registration.
Continuing Medical Education (CME): 100 CME hours required every two years covering pain management and opioid prescribing.
State-Specific Licensing & Renewal: Biennial renewal through the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine.
